Lizette,

I strongly suspect this is stored in the RACF TSO segment. Items such as
PREFIX are kept there. To my knowledge, they can only changed natively using
the TSO PROFILE command and cannot be changed by RACF commands. I suggest
you try deleting and recreating their TSO segment to see if this clears the
problem.

Subject: How is PLANGUAGE Set?

I had a TSO user somehow get the TSO PROFILE PLANGUAGE set to J. This of
course led to the error message

IKJ55365I A MESSAGE COULD NOT BE TRANSLATED J.+
IKJ55365I THE MVS MESSAGE SERVICE RETURN CODE WAS X'0000000C' AND THE
REASON CODE WAS X'00000017'.

I am trying to figure out how the TSO Profile entry for PLANGUAGE got set to
J? They do not know the TSO PROF command.

Is this somehow set or maintained in a TSO Segment in a SAF?

Lizette
