I'm on page 71 of the advanced features of TB 10 and I'm trying to get the
Menu Bar Editor to work.

when I click Object > Resources

The resource manager opens. I pick menubar from the Available resources,
but I do not get the new option.

Am I doing something wrong?

I thought mayber I didn't have access to a file I needed, as this has
happened in the past. But, I have no idea. Has anyone else experienced
this?

thanks,

Launch the menubar editor from START | Programs | ToolBook 10 | Utilities

Create your menu and import it using the Resource Manager.

I'll file a documentation bug to get this Advanced Features PDF updated.

This EDIT feature was disabled in ToolBook 9 (intentionally).

Hi Stephanie,

That used to work but now you either need to launch the Menu Editor from
Start Menu - Programs - ToolBook 10 - Utilities or from Tools menu -
Applications. You then need to create the .mnu file and import that into
Resource Manager. Note that menus only work in Native ToolBook.

Hope this helps,

Ok, so I got a little further this time. I created my menu, but I can't
upload the menu using the Menu Bar Editor. There isn't an option to update
under file menu.

see page 73 of Advanced features manual.

Please help.

thanks,

Hi Stephanie,

You want to save the file with the default .mnu extension in the Menu Bar
Editor. Then import that file via Resource Manager. From there, you want to
assign it to the mainWindow or a viewer.

Hope this helps,

Ok, I think I get it now. I just thought that I should be able to put this
menu in place without using Openscript, because the rest of it was a
wizard. I have it now. thank you for the help.
