Hi
I have a user running TB8.5 he gets a message "Not enough memory" when he tries to start tb85run

I have reviewed the KB and old posting can't see anything that looks like the solution

Scott

PS does anyone know when the update webcast is going to happen?

Hi,

It looks like the rights problem of toolbook under 8.9 if used under a restricted user account.

If the error is

"not enough memory or file is damaged"

when you start tb8.5run.exe then you perhaps run toolbook 8.5 under a restricted account in Windows XP.
Using toolbook 2004 or neuron 8.9 upwards toolbook applications run in any windows xp account (they have fixed this problem).

Run tb8.5 in your admin account for testing this feature.
If this is the case, download the newest neuron from the sts webserver and start your application using the tb89run.exe installed with the neuron package.

Bye, Franz

Hello Scott,
This happens when your file is too far down the folder structure on your
drive. Try moving the file closer to the root and the problem should be
solved.

Best regards,
Mark

There is a workaround for 8.5 if you give the user's account full write
permission to the Windows temp directory.

This error can also be caused if the runtime file TB85RMT.DLL or the
TB85RTM.EXE is missing from the runtime files that you distribute. Make sure
both of these files are there. One of these files (cannot remember which) is
not mentioned in the distrib.wri file as being required, but it IS.

Let us know if this fixes your problem.
