I may soon be headed to the United Arab Emirates to
teach adults at a military language school. One of
the more interesting duties will be to prepare
students for study in the US or the UK.
This mission, should I choose to accept it, will be
my first foray into the Middle East. (I taught in
Indonesia for about a year and a half, and interned
in Japan.) Does anyone have any references for
teaching materials, WEB sites, or tips related to
preparing (Middle Eastern) students for study abroad?
As a note, students will have access to a CALL lab.
Thanks, and best regards,
Jon McLean
