Composition writing is often a difficult task for students especially
if they lack the necessary vocabulary words to express their ideas.
Many of them have great minds and yet the act of translating their
thoughts in written form seems to be a problem. I have heard of the
process approach to writing and i need enlightenment on this aspect.
What are the basic tenets of this approach? How can the teacher and
even the students benefit from this? How does it improve students'
writing?
Another is, do we say 'process writing'? A book I read on Children's
Writing says that writing is in itself a process so it would be
redundant to say PROCESS WRITING. It should be PROCESS APPROACH TO
WRITING. Which is correct? Or are they both accepted in the field?
Thank you for the information you will share.
