Every once in a while I'm asked by my students to recommend an English
language school for them. Many of the pamphlets I've seen have little or
no information about a school's accreditation or will say things like
"recommended by the British Council" which sounds a bit dubious to me.
What should I advise my students to look for in an English School? What
kinds of accreditation should a school have? How can one check if this
accreditation is real and not just on paper? What about if they want to
learn English in North America? What kinds of accreditation should one
look for there and how can one check it?
