I've caught the hot potato. None of the other
teachers wants this one:
In our IEP there is a girl who chose the name
"Oliver" before she came here. That's not all --
her *BOY*friend has chosen "Hyman." They aren't
enthusiastic about changing their choices.
I am planning to privately offer simple reasons
why English speakers might feel these names to be
odd, and if they don't, I'll revert to calling
their native names as they appear on the offcial
class list.
Is this OK? Any suggestions?
