To try to fix a free-flow.
Switch regulators from bottom mix to a deco mix.
Switch regulators if diving independent doubles.
If diving with a long hose on the primary, to donate air to a diver.
There are probably others.

Actually there are probably a _number_ of others, but I don't necessarily know
them at all, at all :-)
