Otherwise, I'll have to type it in by hand!
Thanks,
Jay
I can't say that I know where the Lincoln/Douglas debates might
reside, but you could check with the people at WIRETAP to see if they
would be interested in entering the texts. You could proofread, which
might be better than typing in everything yourself (it sure would be
better for me). I forward an update I just received from our system
administrator. Since I teach Classics I usually get only "Classic"
material, which explains the Moore, Bacon, Poe, Twain, etc. ;)
By the way, is there a site for other oratorical/rhetorical texts?
Are there plans for one? It would certainly fill a gap in our current
electronic text resources. Just wondering..........

4. People STILL Wanted
We are seeking volunteers to proofread materials with
expired copyrights to be placed in the electronic public
domain. This involves reading a reasonable scanned output
and correcting mistakes. If you think you may be able
to help, please contact <de...@wiretap.spies.com>.
The previous announcement generated several serious
volunteers who have already begun work. More are needed!
[You may have to be slightly insane to try something like this.]
