I am interested in hearing from persons who want to contribute a xhapter to a c
ollection of essays on women in/and the history of rhetoric. The book is divid
ed into section on (1) ancient Greece and Rome, (2) Middle Ages, (3) Renaissanc
e and Reformation, (4) Enlightenment. Essays may be on the rhetorical activiti
es of historical women, representations of such in literature/ myth, and so on.
I am interpreting "rhetorical activities" broadly to include, for example, de
bate and argumentation but also the narrative style of a tapestry or garden.
The collection is interdisciplinary: contributors are coming from fields such
as English, Speech, Philosophy, Classics, History, and so on.
Please contact me if you have ideas to propose.
