Hi All

Another refernce to look at is:

Brannen, Julia (Ed.) (1992). Mixing methods: qualitative and quantitative
research. Avebury: Aldershot, England.

Another idea is to go to Sage's WWW homepage and have a look around. The URL
address is: http://www.sage.com

Cheers

Ray

The publisher to contact in USA is:

Ashgate Publishing Company
Old Post Road
Brookfield
Vermont 05036
USA

Elsewhere try:

Avebury
Ashgate Publishing Ltd
Gower House
Croft Road
Aldershot
Hants. GU11 3HR
England

Other options include using a internet search engine like yahoo
(http://www.yahoo.com) or lycos (http://www.lycos.com) to see if the publisher
has a WWW web page and then go from there.

Well this question is always difficult to answer. I suppose it depends what you
are lookng for. The book is in 2 parts: part one covers general considerations
in employing a multiple methods strategy and part two is a series of case study
presentations from researchers who have adopted a combined approach to their
work.

Before contemplating a purchase you could look in some *qualitative* journals
and see if it has been reviewed or she if you can obtain a copt through your
local library.

If you do make contact with the publisher then another book, published by them,
with a health theme is:

Michaeal BLOOR and Patricia TARABORRELLI, Qualitative studies in Health &
Medicine, 1994.

I hope this information has been helpful.

Ray,

Thanks very much for your thorough and very helpful response. I'm sure
others on the list will also appreciate it.
