Liz, are you asking if anyone has considered writing/producing a book
on home-made postcards? That's an interesting idea, I'd never
considered it. (I did a write-up of my lino-printing process that I
shared with some folks on this list once before; would share it again
with anyone interested.)
I suppose a book like this ought to address block printing, rubber-
stamping, drawing/painting, collage, photocopy, computer graphics, and
photography, and discuss materials, thickness, durability, and reverse
side surface/printing. Though it gets away from "home-made," some
coverage of arranging for 4-color offset-printed reproduction would
probably also be helpful (for example, for folks who want to specially
produce cards in their interest, or for postcard week). I'd certainly
want to see/get such a book if anyone knows of one. I'd also be
interested in hearing what ideas others may have for a book like that.

PS If any postcard collector out there is named Flynn, drop me a line!

Got an art supply catalog and the company offered blank postcards with
watercolor paper on one side--ready for all you artists to paint--and smooth
postcard backing. I thought this might inspire someone.
Also, there's a company called Levenger (you can see I get a lot of catalogs)
that will print personalized postcards that look pretty neat.
Has anyone ever considered a book on home-made postcards?
