<Institute of Politics, Rutgers University, is looking for
<information on studies-- statewide or national-- dealing with
<RACE, DISCRIMINATION, ETHNICITY, &/or DIVERSITY. We are
<interested in methodological issues & topics included in the
<research, as well as any other information.

We (the Division of Science Resources Studies at the National Science
Foundation) publish a biennial report on Women, Minorities and Persons with
Disabilities in Science and Engineering. The most recent version is now at the
printers. To get a copy e-mail us at srs...@nsf.gov or call our publications
group at (703) 306-1773. The report number is NSF 94-333 and there is no charge
for the report.

You may be interested in our recent article: Flynn, J., Slovic, P., & Mertz,
C. (Dec. 1994). "Gender, Race, and Perception of Environmental Health
Risks," RISK ANALYSIS. Vol. 14, No. 6: 1101-1108. This is based upon a 1992
national survey of 1,500 respondents. Also, Decision Research as a
non-profit independent research group provides public access to its

The Anti-Defamation League conducted a national survey on racial attitudes
in America in November 1992. A report was released publicly in June 1993.
The study included an oversample of African-Americans.
