Leica Camera AG announced today that all M series cameras, from M3 to M6, are
not Y2K compliant and are recalled to the factory in Solms, Germany for
adjustment.
Specific problems with Y2K compliance have been traced to the cameras mechanical
shutter, baseplate and exclusive M lensmount.

Let me guess ... by the year 2000 they will need to be upgraded to the new MM
mount?
