Mike
I had the Allstate policy, where I added a 30k floater to my renters
insurance for about a year, and at first my agent said "oh ya no problem we
will cover you no matter what happens. "
But I never really felt comfortable with it, so after talking to him further
he admitted that it was a real gray area and that they probaly would cover me
if something happened but then would drop it. Since I shoot alot of sports
with expensive glass I changed my policy to a commercial account, where I
have an inland marine coverage as well as liability. It turns out to be
cheaper than NPPA's insurance which covers just for the equipment(no
liability) and my deductable is only 500.
If you have any questions just let me know
