Help!

I've just upgraded a NW3.11 server to v4.01 (a fraught process, it turned out;
I eventually had to completely ditch the old setup of 3.11 and start afresh in
v4 and then restore the backup data having recreated all the user accounts...
tedium). There are numerous problems;

1) Pegasus Mail doesn't work with NDS - OK, it's a freebie, I can live with that
2) We've just gone and bought a stack of HP JetDirect cards for NetWare, to
connect LaserJet 3's and 4's - these don't appear to work under NW4.

It looks like the software which sets up the cards can't recognise the
print queues set up in the Directory Service... what can I do?

Is there an update that anyone's heard about to the JetAdmin or JetPrint s/w,
or is there some quick-fix I can do? All help would be greatly welcome,

Your weary netter,

Please, this list isn't political, but watch your language. There are

I'm using VLM v1.02 and I'm getting more and more suspicious about it; since
swtiching over, some students are reporting that they are having trouble
running Toolbook and writing to a network drive- their machines hang and reboot
sometimes.

Noone reported this before the switch to VLMs, but I don't want to have to go
round and un-upgrade everthing back to the old DOS Shell. I saw Joe D say
something about the VLM's causing him problems, and there have been one or
two other people giving cause for alarm...

If anyone from Novell is listening out there, please can you set us straight?
Are the VLMs responsible? Do Novell admit there are problems? What are
Novell planning to do? Are there new versions in the offing which will fix
the problems reported?

The answers to these and many other questions would be v welcome... :>(

I use the VLM files in VLM103.ZIP (should be ftp:able from ftp.novell.com).
They should be version 1.03 and thereby newer. My Windows didn't get stable
until I switched to the LSL.COM in BSDUP1.ZIP which is later than th one
in VLM103.ZIP. Check it out.

VLM's are new and probably not very stable, but they are great otherwise, so
I'll continue to use them unless they give me too much trouble.

Does anyone know if there is an updated version of the server screensaver
FRYESS1.NLM available for Netware 4.x? Or do Frye have any plans to produce
one? I found this wee NLM very handy for 'at-a-glance' server utilitisation
checking, but it report 'requires Netware 3.x' when loaded under v4.
