In response to Ora and Steven, let me say that I am still using the Dos
version of Hugo. I have played around with all the French versions of
Win95 word processors, (Word, WP) and Word, in particular, has a nice
grammar checker. However, once again, the speed of a

16bit dos program like Hugo applied to an ascii NB file in a pentium
machine is phenomenal. I played with the Petit Robert on CDROM a few
weeks ago, and it is very ponderous; it's much faster to use the paper
version. Hugo has a very
good dictionary; as a grammar checker it is not so hot; it cannot make
past participles agree, but it picks up major errors of number and gender
in simple phrases pretty well.
