I am having trouble printing a 90Kdocument under NB4.5 with Lingua on an
HPIII printer. I get no printing error messages. Action line says
"done." However, nothing happens under NB. When I quit NB, the file
started to print and completed all 44 pages. However, the first page
was garbled. Now I am having even more problems trying to print the
"current page" or individual pages. I cannot get the system to print
anything with these commands or menu selections

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jim Fisher

James,
Could you cut (a copy of) the file in two parts and try again?
Last week I had a lot of trouble in printing a Lingua-text of 75 K, the
direct cause of which appaered to be the length of the text.... I
printed both parts separately without any trouble. Must have to do with
memory-management...

Sarah, did you solve your last weeks "weirdness"? The symptoms look much
the same as what happened to me at about the same time.

After similar difficulties, here are things that I've done to ameliorate
what is essentially a memory problem. If you have Ibedem, select "clear
Ibidem". This will free up any memory devoted to Ibidem and dictionaries,
etc. Close out the document you want to print, and then choose print from
disk. This will keep NB from devoting memory to your file which it needs
for the printer driver downloads.

By the way, if you don't have Ibidem, you can maximize your memory simply
by starting NB again and then print your document from disk with no files
open.

Hope it works,
