Subject: NEW: Curriculum Development Discussion List

NewList - From Educational CyberPlayGround

UID-forum is a general discussion list for people involved or interested
in all aspects of Universal Instructional Design (in some locations referred
to as Universal Design of Instruction, Universal Design for Learning and
other such variations).
UID (or UDI / UDL) is an approach to preparing learning events, materials
and resources so that they are more accessible and effective for all learners,
regardless of different physical abilities, cultural histories, learning
styles and preferences or present circumstances.

Definitions of UID can be found at various online locations, including
the website for the UID project at the University of Guelph, the owner
of this listserv:
This list was created to give the global UID community a place to make
announcements, review and share resources and experiences, and organize
professional and community events. We encourage the following uses
of this list:

- Updates to your UID-related website
- The publication of your papers, online and offline
- UID-related book launches
- Calls for submissions to journals and conferences
- Upcoming presentation dates
- Regional and international conferences
- New government, private or NGO funding opportunities...

- Books
- Articles
- Websites
- Software
- Adaptive technologies

- Stories about UID
- Experiences trying to build UID courses
- Samples of UID course materials
- Results from your UID studies
- Information about legislation affecting the UID community
Our long-term goals are to build a more cohesive UID community, to bring
that community together by organizing events such as seminars and conferences,
and eventually to establish a peer-reviewed electronic journal about Universal
Instructional Design.
