Hello

I wanted to draw folks attention to a new e-mail discussion list centered
around universal instructional design. I have included part of their
list's intro message as a backgrounder.

To subscribe, send an e-mail to list...@listserv.uoguelph.ca with
subscribe uid-forum

in the body of the message. As usual with listservs, leave the subject
line blank.

THE PURPOSE OF UID-FORUM
UID-forum is a general discussion list for people involved or interested
in all aspects of Universal Instructional Design (in some locations referred
to as Universal Design of Instruction, Universal Design for Learning and
other such variations).
UID (or UDI / UDL) is an approach to preparing learning events, materials
and resources so that they are more accessible and effective for all learners,
regardless of different physical abilities, cultural histories, learning
styles and preferences or present circumstances.
Definitions of UID can be found at various online locations, including
the website for the UID project at the University of Guelph, the owner
of this listserv: http://www.tss.uoguelph.ca/uid/uidintro.html
This list was created to give the global UID community a place to make
announcements, review and share resources and experiences, and organize
professional and community events.
