Outdoor vandalism prevention

Bite the bullet. If you have had the past problems as you
describe them you need the guard. Also make sure that the area
is well lighted after dark. The 24 hour guard may not be
necessary if there is a public presence during morning or
afternoon hours. You know when the vandalism takes place. If
it never occurs say from 7 am until after 7 pm you may get by
with 12 hour per day security. All our recent problems have
been occurring between 12 am and 3 am. So we have extended our
6 pm to 12 pm security and lights that timers switched off
at midnight are now on till 5 & 6 am. Wackenhut
provides our secutiry at less than $8.00 per hour. The cost of
security can be less than the cost in staff time and the damage
& loss of artifacts.
