[MLA-L] Boris Myronoff

We have a patron who is seeking information on the composer Boris Myronoff.
We think he was active in Los Angeles ca. 50 years ago. William Primrose
recorded Myronoff's CAPRICE for viola (these records are in OCLC) and we
know Myronoff wrote at least three other pieces for viola (the manuscripts
are here at BYU in the Primrose International Viola Archive). The titles
are:
Caprice
Scherzo-Orientale
Poem (Dream)
Poem (Meditation)

Can anyone help us? Birth and death dates would be wunderbar!!!

I saw this post while researching my husband's great grandfather, composer Boris Myronoff, we also have manuscripts. It appears that you posted this question 16 years ago. You may no longer have any interest or maybe you have more information on Boris than I?

The information that we have is that Boris was born Oct.17, 1889 in Russia and died in Seal Beach, CA, in December of 1976. His birth name was Boris Bronstein (a relative of Leon Bronstein, aka: Leon Trotsky, possibly his brother or nephew). My husband says that Boris was affiliated with the Conservatory of Music in Odessa.

I have been researching extensively and would love to know if anyone has any additional information or if I may be able to fill in blanks for you.
