Hi,
I have applied for an advanced ( S type ) program and a preliminary
internship. On March 18th NRMP will publish the result of the match. and
they will just tell us if we are matched or not. And during those two
days (18 to 20th) all of the post match available positions will be filled
up by the unmatched people.
Lets assume the I get matched with just the advanced position( like
anesthesiology) and I haven't matched with the internship ( P type)
position. If I wait till March 20th or 21st, the date that exact
results will be announced, there will be nothing available at that time for
the internship.
And if I go ahead and sign a contract as the post match contract with a
hospital for my internship, at that 2 days period, may be I am already
matched and I am doing an illegal thing.
What is your suggestion, do I have to wait till march 21st and take the
risk of not finding an internship, or I have to go ahead and sign a
post match contract at that time?
