Without changing my TSO/ISPF online settings, is there a way to tell a
batch invocation NOT to allocate a LOG dataset, or to use one with a
unique name?
Here are the error messages I get:
ISPF system data set allocation error - press Enter to continue.
Log file allocation error - ISPF will operate without a log data set.
Data set 'TSOUSER.SPFLOG1.LIST' in use by another user, try later.
* Data set in use -/-Data set 'TSOUSER.SPFLOG1.LIST' in
use by another user, try later.
TIA for any help/RTFM you can provide.
Peter

Do a search for ISPLOG on the ISPF bookshelf for details.

Subject: ISPF in batch - How to specify unique LOG dataset?
I'm trying to run a batch TSO session (an INFOMAN invocation, actually,
but that's another discussion) and when the ISPSTART executes it tries
to allocate an ISPF LOG dataset with the exact same name as the one
allocated by my TSO/ISPF session that submitted the job.
Without changing my TSO/ISPF online settings, is there a way to tell a
batch invocation NOT to allocate a LOG dataset, or to use one with a
unique name?

And of course, I mis-typed what I meant, it's the LIST dataset, not the
LOG dataset that is duplicated.
Don't ya hate it when that happens?
