We DON'T need an "educational" system!

Looking back on this discussion and hoping it is not too late to
pursue further.

What about cooperative learning? Leaderless groups?

It's amazing what knowledge sharing and mutual facilitation can lead to.

Some participants in my Teaching Online courses are astounded that
I don't "teach" in any conventionally accepted way. I put the learners
in pairs and groups and suggest places to explore while indicating
where the real knowledge (or help) is (ie: not in MY head!!).
