The term "educational system" can be used in a genral sense. It
does not necessarily suggest a mental straitjacket for students or
teachers.
Learning can be promoted in various ways, if for no other reason
than individual differences being a key characteristic of the human
condition.
Regardless of variations in approaches to teaching, little is
accomplished by minimal effort on the part of both teachers and
students. Often there is the alibi of "cognitive styles" by students
who are simply too lazy to do much at all.
