PICT is both vector and raster.
I don't use MS-DOS machines, but a fellow faculty member who is forced to
has Conversions Plus 2.0 which converts PICT files into Windows Metafiles.
There is
also a company called Data Viz that makes translation products for Macs and
MS-DOS machines and they also can translate from PICT files into various
IBM format graphics files.
