She would be travelling on TWA from Pittsburgh to JFK and AIR-INDIA

We are two Indian Grad students going to France (May 20-May 25)
and Italy (May 25-May 30) on a sightseeing trip on a low budget. I

1. Info regarding cheap lodging and/or camping. Any sources of info
within the USA would also greatly help. Is there a directory/compendium
of pensions/youth hostels available?
2. Tourist info reagarding sightseeing areas (we donot want to go only
to big cities for which most of the info is available in the US). From
what we've heard, most of this info is available only in those
particular towns only.
3. Tips and suggestions regarding currency conversion, safety, racism,
language barriers etc for France and Italy.
4. We're also looking for people who might know us. We are both in the
North Carolina State University, Raleigh NC, USA. My friend Naresh
