Get this message from RESTRUCTURE (to create a new set pointer)

+IKF995I ILBONTR AMODE ERROR. ENTERED IN AMODE 31

I believe I went through all the same steps as always

create another schema with new set defined
run IDMSRSTC to create the restructure table
link the restructure table
run RESTRUCTURE with areas offline

This has never happened before, restructures work so consistently it is
almost a canned procedure. Any suggestions are welcomed.

Joe,

The RSTT module must be linked Amode=24, Rmode=24. Your error message
indicates it was linked Amode=31.

Bob

This is a COBOL error message issued by the "LE" versions (CEE.SCEERUN)of the COBOL-74 run-times. The clues are the "IKF" prefix on the message and the "ILB" prefix on the COBOL run-time module ILBONTR.

Did your site recently add CEE.SCEERUN to the linklist? If so, you might work-around this by using SYS1.COBLIB at JOBLIB/STEPLIB. Why is COBOL even involved?

Thanks to Jim Moore and Bob Wiklund whose combined efforts solved the
mystery. We have added a database procedure (written in COBOL) to the
main schema to maintain the century indicator for some records (part of a
Y2K effort). I neglected to use the subschema created specifically for
Restructures (its schema doesn't use the DB procedure).
