I'm trying to evaluate whether or not we need this on our system. Is
there anybody out there who started this task ?and what are you using
it for?

I would specifically like to know

What you are using it for? (i.e. a monitoring package, performance
reports, etc.)

What kind of overhead is involved in having this task running?

Since all our OSA's are QDIO devices, do I also need OSA/SF?

If I need OSA/SF, what does OSA/SF give me that IOBSNMP does not, or
visa-versa?
