Greetings,

This is cross-posted between IBM Main and DB2 list.

I have customer that is sending data from MVS/DB2 to NT via TCP/IP

There NT box hangs up on the MVS on a unpredictable basis.
Sometime when data is transmitting and sometimes data is not transmitting.

According to the customer they do not have any Firewall or Router in the
connection between the two boxes.

Where can I get/find information for troubleshooting information on TCP/IP
for MVS ?

I have given the customer some very basic troubleshooting information TCPIP
such as
pinging and tracerte the network ?

Thanks for you help...

Manish

Manish,
Since the transfer works sometimes, network routing is probably not the
issue. If you can provide some more detail, such as products being used,
and any error messages involved, I might have some suggestions.

If you are using DB2 Connect on the NT box, have you tried the DB2 Connect
trace utility?

Ok, what is the application? Telnet? FTP? printint? Lots of options here!

What do you mean hangs up? Pauses then resumes, dies and never returns.

More clues please!
