S/390 Parallel Sysplex manuals available

For IBM's announcement of the S/390 Parallel Sysplex offering this past
week, we are making available two Parallel Sysplex manuals for free on
the internet in BookManager, PostScript, and flat-text formats. The
manuals are:

- S/390 MVS Sysplex Overview - Introducing Data Sharing and
Parallelism in a Sysplex (GC28-1208-00)

- S/390 MVS Sysplex Systems Management (GC28-1209-00)

The URLs for these books are:

gopher://index.almaden.ibm.com/11mvsinfo
ftp://software.watson.ibm.com/pub/mvs

These servers are the only places where you can get Sysplex Systems
Management during the month of April. And they are the only places
where you get get the books in BookManager file format today.

This service is a continuation of a 6-month experiment where selected
IBM manuals are available for free on the internet in BookManager,
PostScript, and flat-text formats. The books currently available are:

S/390 MVS Sysplex Systems Mgmt x x

Introducing OpenEdition MVS x x x

Note: The text of these books is the same as you would see in the
printed documentation. However, some of the graphics may differ
slightly due to lack of color or lower resolution.

This service is an experiment. These books may come and go or
disappear altogether at any time. You can help us gauge the utility of
this service (and help keep these books available) by trying out the
service and telling us whether or not it's useful to you.

Please send any comments about this service to:

Pete Gegen -- ge...@vnet.ibm.com

Please send any comments about the books to the Internet address listed
on their Readers Comment Form page.

Thanks to David Singer and Nick Trio for providing space on their
servers for these books.

[PS by epc: Apologies if this post appears twice, I posted yesterday and
it disappeared into the ether. Please direct all responses
to Pete Gegen <ge...@vnet.ibm.com>. Additional thanks to
Lionel Dyck and everyone else who's responded since we
started this. Keep those cards and letters coming! :-]
