A patron of ours wants to know why Il Traumerei by Robert
Schumann is played every hour on the hour at the World War II Memorial in
Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad), Russia. The memorial honors Russian and
German soldiers killed during the battle.
Why was this composition by Schumann selected to be played?
Are other pieces of music played? If so, what are they?
Thanks in advance.
