Hey Now,

Does any know where to find information about Matthias Cordinus,
sometimes known as Matthias Hunyadi the King of Austria 1464-90.
Anything about his mistress in particular. Or where I could look for
such information?

Thanks,

Matthias Hunyadi was King of Hungary and later of Bohemia. Even though
at the end of his regin his forces controlled Vienna, he was never king
of Austria. If you want a biography of his reign, the encyclopedia
Brittanica is always a good source and it will probably list its sources
as well. Otherwise you could look up a book on Hungarian history where
Matthias will occupy a very prominent place. I am not sure where you
will find much information about his mistress. I remember reading about
his wife who played a small role after his death, but of his mistress...

He did have an illegitimate son who he tried to have recognized as heir,
but I don't remember much about his momma.

You could also try looking in books about the Habsburgs and Emperor
Frederick III and his son Maximillian in particular as Matthias Corvinus
spent most of his time in conflict with them over the question of
Hungary, hence the occupation of Vienna.
