Very Urgent Required : BI and Reporting Technical Lead for Bahrain

VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for BI and Reporting Technical Lead
for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and
conditions:

Skill Set required:
Experience
► Minimum 5 years IT experience in data warehousing or Business
Intelligence in telecom industry and leading team size more than 3.
Knowledge & Skills
► Knowledge and experience to support maintain and operate Business
Intelligence system data warehouse, ETL jobs and OBIEE dashboards.
► Experience required for the below Oracle products:
o OBIEE (Oracle Business inelegance enterprise edition
o OWB (Oracle Warehouse Builder)
o BI Application Server
o Oracle Discoverer
o OWF (Oracle Workflow).
o OID (Oracle Internet Directory)
o OIM(Oracle Identity Manager)

► Must be good in English language, Arabic is plus.
► Good to handle the customer and in communication skills.
► ITIL processes knowledge e.g. Incident, change and problem
management will be a plus point.
► Strong business acumen and knowledge of business intelligence and
experience in data warehousing
► Must be able to provide support for off-hours deployments and ensure
stable environments for off-hours testing
► Ability to plan, document, and effectively implement projects and
systems
► Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
► Good team player with a can-do attitude
► Excellent trouble shooting and problem solving skills
► Fluency in English and the local language (written and verbal)
► Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, MSWord and Power Point

Responsibilities
► Responsible for maintain architect of the Business Intelligence
solutions
► Provide periodic reports on the work done and jointly plan for
future activities with the team
► Follow-up with third party service providers to resolve any issue
impacting the application functioning / performance or availability
based on cases opened by Level 1 support.
► Documentation on change management
► Knowledge management and knowledge base maintenance which will serve
as advice and guidance to L1
► Change and release management
► Knowledge Transfer to Level 1 support and business users for the
fixes and the new reports developed by the resource.
► Software upgrade by installing the required patches.
► New BI Requirements gathering, design, development, testing and
deployment.
► Data Model creation/modification and OWB ETL jobs
► Preventive maintenance activities to resolve performance bottlenecks
and do performance tuning on DB, ETL and application level.
► Performance tuning activities in case of Product performance issues,
the resource will coordinate with Oracle or other service providers to
resolve it.
► Any report/dashboard development including corresponding ETL and
data model related development
► Manage the ETL layer in terms of scheduling, creating dependencies,
and performance tuning
► Cleanup process to be communicated to the DBA as per the business
need and cleanup policy.
► Train the end users to use the reporting tools.
► Support the post campaign analysis processes in terms of new
deployment and changes on the current implemented logic.
► Manage and support the logical layer for the applications interface
(RPD file/Discoverer EUL) in terms of modifies existing structure,
applying changes and build new structure.
► Building new aggregations, data marts, cubes to fulfill the business
view in the presentation layer.
► Prepare the prober data sources for analytical exercises required by
business.
► Support the application infrastructure for the installation,
configuration and high availability setup.
► Support the oracle discoverer report backend object, EUL and the
presentation layer(discoverer desktop ,viewer and plus)
► Support the existing and build new processes which prepare the data
for reporting purposes.
► Providing the prober solutions to give the end users the
availability and flexibility to build their own reports.
►
► Manage and / or apply OBIEE ,OWB and Discoverer application patches,
fixes, and minor release updates
► Provide Technical support like application system start-up/shut-
down, Create detailed design documents for all Data model changes, ETL
modifications , OBIEE and Discoverer reports developed
► Recommend on advanced features of OBIEE/Discoverer.
► Manage change control process for the technical configuration of the
applications
► Hosting, installation and training of Applications.
► Support for any external new applications other than the ones
specified above. Client is going thru major network swap which will
impact BI and will introduce new sources which will be covered under
this scope.
Qualification
► Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information
Technology or related disciplines
