Recently at our school the ti-8x calculators were banned from certain
classes because of cheating. I was told that even if one resets the memory
on the ti-85, there is a way to restore the memory. Is this true?

In a previous article, at...@cleveland.Freenet.Edu (Mehul Gala) says:

I'm not sure, but what I heard is that with the 85 a program can trap the
reset call and pretend to erase the memory while leaving it alone. Hmmm...

hello, i am a high school student in houston. i have a program that will
pretend to reset the calculator. I don't use it to cheat, but so i don't
erase all my games and programs i've written. i don't want to have to buy
a computer link to back up.
