1. Mr. Rogers is very much alive. At least as of 2 months ago. I live in
the Pittsburgh area, and I went for an interview for a job at WQED, the PBS
affiliate station in the Pittsburgh area, and I got to meet him and shake
his hand. I feel that he was a very positive influence on me as a child.
In fact, if I one day get to raise a child, I would feel more comfortable
with him/her watching Mr. Rogers instead of the other crap that is on TV
today for kids.

2. Keep in mind that Mr. Rogers' on screen words and deeds are partially
(at least) influenced by the fact that he is an ordained Presbyterian
minister.

I sware I saw a news show approx. 2 weeks ago, commemorating Mr.
Rogers...that he had passed on, and they wanted to honor him. I was
playing on my computer, only half-watching/listening, to the TV (my
usual habit)...but if this was a hallucination, it was a really
powerful one!

If he has not yet died, then perhaps I received a premonition. Why?
Makes no sense to me, at the moment, for he is irrelevant to my life
(and always has been). I am a visionary, and I do see things that are
not in reality...but I am stymied as to why I would receive such a
vision...as my spiritual journey is firmly tied to the Gay Rights and
Homeless issues. And what if I predicted his death? What's the point
with that? I see no value to such a vision, for the impact on gay
rights (or homeless) is not at all obvious. Perhaps there is something
extraordinary in this, that is concealed even from my own
vision...until the time of his death, and some sort of revelation.

Oh yeah, I just figured what's up with this! Mr. Rogers' houseboy will
rise to prominence via The National Enquirer and The S.F. Bay Area
Reporter...that he has been Senior Rogers' lover for eight years now,
and should receive a considerable part of the inheritance.

A kid's show (supposedly) espousing good manners, neighborliness, and
all sorts of goody-gumdrop thoughts. As you can see, he has many adult
converts to his fold. BUT HE'LL NEVER GET ME!

Why not visit the Mr. Rogers Website, as long you feel your mind is
strong enough to resist the brainwash:

You should also check out the following URL:

Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood Watch (now defunct)

---quote:
This page used to house "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood Watch," the most
popular of my WebParodies. Mr. Rogers's attorneys didn't like it one
bit, and tried scaring the parody off the web by rattling their legal
sabers at me and at GeoCities... [read the rest on his home page].
---end of quote

Anyway, the author took down this site, claiming that "Love they
neighbor as thyself" won out over his legal ethics. Another good man
down, thanks to the terroist tactics of Mr. Rogers' brutal henchmen. I
am sorry the guy gave up without a real fight...but such is the power
of persuasion by the Mr. Rogers Dark Cabal.
