Here is the gay Marine porn stuff I was talking about. Had to search deep
in my archives for these 1993 stories. The man on the tapes is indeed named
"Bobby," and in my opinion, he's kinda disgusting. It's somewhat sad that
our military personnel are so underpaid that some of them feel the need to
do something so potentially regrettable, although it's obvious that some are
doing it for the thrill of it. And some of course were probably gay. Two
men claimed to be married and one had a kid; it was interesting to see him
talk about the child with pride. If the interviews are authentic and not
staged, it's clear that many didn't know that this was for a gay audience as
"Bobby" kept talking about the footage being an audition, and asked what
type of girls the Marine wants to be with in future movies. Then again,

no one is allowed to touch him during the session. Posey is notorious for

500 MARINES REPORTED INVOLVED IN PORNOGRAPHY RING
LOS ANGELES (Reuter) - A home repairman described by investigators as the
leader of a gay Marine pornography ring alleged that more than 500
active-duty personnel have been involved in his mail-order video operation,
the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.
The 39-year-old man, who was identified only as "Bobby," was cited as saying
he feared for his life, had burned his erotic sex materials and was moving
to San Francisco to "hide out" with friends. Authorities at Camp Pendleton
near San Diego last week began investigating allegations that a large number
of soldiers from
the sprawling Marine base had appeared in homosexual pornographic movies,
officials said.
The investigation had been initiated earlier by police in the nearby town of
Oceanside. But police said they found no evidence of crimes committed and
turned the case over to military investigators at Camp Pendleton. Although
few civilian laws restrict the production of pornography, the Uniform Code
of Military Justice forbids personnel from engaging in sodomy, prostitution,
pandering or distributing obscene material in the mail.
The man interviewed by the Los Angeles Times said Marines took part in the
pornographic productions "mainly for the money" because they were frustrated
by the low pay they received. The man, a home repairman whose operation was
based in a garage apartment in Oceanside, told the newspaper he had a
"weakness for Marines" and that he began his mail-order video operation
three years ago after having photographed Marines in private sessions. He
said he acted as the point man in an underground referral operation in which
other makers of pornographic videos in the San Diego area would pay Marines
upwards of $250 for taping sessions. The man told the newspaper that about
20 percent of the Marines involved were homosexual or bisexual. But even
heterosexual soldiers were willing to be photographed with other men "for
the money or just the thrill of it."
He said he sold thousands of his videos to friends over the last three years
at prices starting at $25, the newspaper reported.
The man told the newspaper he had received threatening calls and that he had
mailed a friend his file of Marines' phone numbers to protect himself.

Reading the stuff about marine porn I was surprised to come across the name
of Glenn Swann. Living in South Florida I met him a number of times. He, at
the time, was Jack Campbell's (owner of the Club Baths in Miami) escort and
gave "safe sex" demonstrations (really jacking off for a group of gays) at
the tubs.
Glenn was a marine. One very funny incident occurred back about 1989 when
the Democratic Party in Dade county had a big fundraiser where they invited
Sam Nunn to be the key note speaker. At a pre-dinner cocktail party for the
big politicla donors (of whom Jack Campbell) was one) Glenn Swann showed up
escorting Jack. (They made an intersting couple. Glenn was a good looking
very physically fit guy and Jack wieghed about 280 lbs and had a baby face
even thouhg he was
in his 50s).
There were only about 20 people at this party so we each had an opportunity
to talk at length with Sam Nunn. Glenn Swann went up to him and introduced
himself as a marine (once a marine always a marine) The senator was very
interested in that and asked Glenn what he did. Glenn said that he was
currently doing something in
education. The senator nodded knowingly but didn't pursue it. Then a
photographer came by and took a picture of Glenn shaking Sam Nunn's hand.
Somehow, I don't remember, I got the only copy of that photo and kept it for
a while until Jack Campbell asked me for it in return for a year's free
pass to the baths in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. At the time I couldn't have
know the historical and political significance of that photo. I wish I had
kept it.
One thing about Glenn Swann though. At dinner we talked about his doing
porno movies and he mentioned how much "those gay men" liked seeing him have
sex. I then realized he didn't think of himself as being gay. He talked a
lot about his ex-wife and how he stilled loved her and how he still liked
women.
About a year later I saw him again and he had put on a lot of weight and
looked liked day old shit warmed over.I then heard he was having a serious
drug problem and that Jack was dumping him for another good looking young
thing, which he eventually did.
Since then I haven't seen or heard of him.

PORNO KINGPIN FEARS FOR HIS LIFE
Oceanside, CA - The man who allegedly ran a pornography ring that may
have involved more than 500 active-duty Marines says he fears some of
the Marines may try to kill him to protect their careers.
The 39-year-old man, who called himself "Bobby" and spoke to two
California newspapers on the condition his real name wasn't used, says
he has burned his pornography and is leaving town after tow Marines
tried to break down his front door and others made threatening calls.
"I think I'm going to San Francisco," he said. "I don't want to die
over this. It's not worth it."
Bobby ran a mail-order gay pornography operation from a garage
apartment in Oceanside, a few mile from Camp Pendleton. He estimated
that between 500 and 800 Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton had sex
with him since he moved to Oceanside from Los Angeles in 1974 and began
photographing Marines in private sessions. Bobby said as many as 20
Marines a week came knocking on his door looking for sex.
The mail-order video operation began three years ago, Bobby said,
adding that he also acted as point man in an underground referral
operation through which other pornographic video makers in the San Diego
area would pay Marines up to $250 for taping sessions lasting 20 minutes
to 90 minutes.
About 20 percent of the Marines he videotaped or referred to other
agencies were homosexual or bisexual, Bobby said, but even heterosexual
Marines would consent to be photographed with other men "for the money
or just the thrill of it."
Oceanside police said investigators were closing a probe into the gay
pornography ring because they had no evidence underage boys were
involved. However, if Marines are identified, they could face charges
because involvement in making pornography violates the Uniform Code of
Military Justice.
