Do not fool yourself into thinking that a particular region of
Oklahoma is the source of so much bigotry including homophobia. This
is almost everywhere in Amerika...the Bible Belt is choking the entire
nation. If you could ever afford to move to San Francisco, you'd find
that matters are only marginally better here. But here is where we
must take a stand, when all other states fall. And here is where you
should migrate ASAP...even if you must go homeless.
I am very busy integrating our homeless family into a fine welcoming
committee to the New Homeless, all of whom will be gay or lesbian or
transgender or bisexual. We will create a new home on the streets,
with all possible amenities and good fun.

In a local weekly newspaper, there was an interesting quote. I don't
remember the exact wording but it went something like this. "Its
incredible that an act of hate(the bombing) can draw us together in
unity, whereas an act of peace(the banners) can separate us. Whats
wrong here?"

The problem as I see it: After such horrible tragedies (OKC bombing,
school shootings), the community unites in order to educate young
people at how terrible it is to bear prejudices against those who are
different. But they fail to get that same message across, regarding
gay students. They teach them that blacks are good folk, as are the
disabled, the less-strong, the intellectuals, the Asians, and so on.
But they consciously EXCLUDE any expression of compassion for gay
kids.
Thus, the violence perpetrates itself, feeding on its own
community...and will continue to do so, unless or until the people in
the area learn to respect gays. If they do not, they'll eventually eat
themselves up in rage, and the community will cease to exist. For
homophobia is a virulent form of Black Magicke, a spell which is most
difficult to exorcise, once cast.
This is not just Oklahoma, as you probably know, but infects just
about every square inch of the map we call Amerika. And so, the
destruction grows out of hand, and our nation will eat itself up in a
Great Civil War that will make the last one look like a picnic.
THE ONLY SAFE HAVEN WILL BE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, DOWN TO SANTA CRUZ.

leather scene/Folsom St. Fair is not my cup of tea...so I hope you

at a better time, because this present cycle of antagonism against my
person extends beyond the Internet, into my neighborhood. I'm sure it
will end within a few days, as they usually do. I just *hate going
through bullshit, though I guess it's what I need to strengthen me
further.
