Offsub: RE: (off topic) MP3 files

Realizing of course that the owner of this list has a strict
policy against discussing warez and related topics, I'll assume you are
legally trying to download MP3's of songs you already own. With that in
mind the 3 major problems I've run into when trying to download MP3's
are:

1. Ratio Sites
2. Sites which do not allow anonymous access
3. Sites which are busy and not allowing additional logons

If you are going to be doing a lot of downloading, I'd suggest
you use a program like MP3fiend. It will search MP3 sites for you and
allow you to verify that you will be actually be able to logon to the
site and download before you waste a lot of time with server errors.
FYI, when I do a MP3 search using MP3fiend I probably get a success rate
of about 1 in 70. That is, I get about 1 downloadable file for every 70
hits it returns.

Anyways, that's my suggestion.
