The best I ever saw was a sign hanging from a truck company:
"Ladder 4 Midtown's Big Red Whore"
I really do remember it. Those were the days when my friends and I would
explore the interesting spots around Times Square. One Sunday night, there
was smoke coming from an adult theatre with several engines and a truck
(I think it was Ladder 4) working it. The name of the film appearing on the
marquis was: "Smoker".

In addition to those listed already, L-61 is the Bronx Vikings. There
1982 Seagrave rearmount is now in service with the Lebanon Bureau of
Fire, Lebanon, Pa. Running out of Station 1 as truck 18. It proudly
displays the Bronx Viking, Hagar the Horrible, and our own Truck Ape.
I'll keep thinking about any others that I have heard of or see.
