Cincinnati Day Care Centers to receive Severe Weather Radios
The Cincinnati Fire Division is happy to announce that a Weathermax
Plus, severe weather warning radio, will be made available to every
daycare center in the City of Cincinnati. These radios will provide
the daycare centers with advance warning of any approaching severe
weather, enabling them to seek shelter, if necessary, and provide the
employees, and children with an added dimension of protection.
The radios were made available to the Cincinnati Fire Division through
the generosity of the Cincinnati Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Just last week, this same organization was also responsible for donating
]over 2000 smoke detectors to be distributed during our Safe Summer Nights
program, beginning next week.
Neighborhood Fire Companies will begin distributing the radios on
Wednesday, May 17.
