Let me see if I can put this into intelligent prospective, for me it will
not be easy but I will try.

Bennett Heat Treating and Brazing Co. 690 Ferry Street Newark, NJ 07105

They have issued Purchase Order to replace compressor on the Low temperature
freezer, which is design to run at -125 below zero Fahrenheit.

The compressor that I was direct replacement of Low Stage with original
manufacture install (refrigerant R-170 (Ethane) Note this refrigerant is
flammable. I have kept suggesting them to make change way before this time
to Refrigerant R-503 but I could not persuade them to do so, they claimed it
was to expansive, since I service the unit before, I kind felt comfortable
working on it, but believe me very cautious.

The Manufacture of the freezer is Webber Mfg. Co. Inc. Indianapolis, IN
46219

Note this unit was purchase by BHTB Co. used. Few years back the old style
Carlyle compressor was performing very well how ever, as time pass by they
need to be replace like anything ales in life. 1998 low stage needed to be
replace, at that time my customer BHTB Co. Decided that they will purchase
compressor from supplier at wholesale price this way avoiding paying mark up
and have me put it in for them, which I did that was my (first mistake)
After about one week compressor blew the valves needless to say I was not
too happy.

Consulting with Carlyle local representative supplier, it was suggested to
replace valve plates with different type, which I did. After that unit run
for about two years, however doing these two years. Unit had several
different problem loosing gas, fans not working, bad thermal expansion
valves, gaskets along the door fall apart and few other things.

In 2001 low stage again was gone this time my X customer have advised me
that I should purchase and supply the compressor, which I did. This was my
second and Grand Finally Mistake! Since I had trouble getting paid first
time I should have known better.

"Troubles" Carlyle compressors I have install two compressor each lasted
from one hour to few hours each, valve plates was replaced and after repair
same results, valve plates could not hold up (reeds) would crack brake
apart. Well after two replacements I have asked Carlyle to come on sight so
we can solve this problem but that was west of my time answer was with
excuses no. Me like full got another compressor (third) and install it, at
this time I have added suction line cooling injecting liquid into compressor
and controlling it by sensing temperature on discharge which it seemed to
work OK but on the end results was same after about same amount of time
valves would brake.

Needless to say by this time I was teed off. I have acquired professional
help to dictate Letter to Carlyle Mfg. on the subject and they seemed to be
fair enough to answer to my finings but with one major surprise. (We do not
warrantee our compressor for that refrigerant (R-170) never did and we are
not going to. The Webber Mfg. Co. was advised not to use that Refrigerant
(R-170) in our semi compressor because results could be very dangerous if
not even catastrophic.

Apparently this warning meant nothing to the Webber Mfg. Co., Inc. and
ultimately I am the one who paid the price. "Keep on reading".
Carlyle has also suggested retrofitting system with refrigerant R-508B, in
their responds letter, which currently replaces old refrigerant R-503. And
compressors will be cover by warrantee. The compressors in question are Type
# 06EY450340 at that time; list price with out oil was $5314.14. Each time
compressor was replace new oil was install filter driers was change leak
tested and evacuated. The end costs to me have totaled over $16,000.00. With
35 years of experience in this line of work I have tried everything that I
could and I could think of, to make this system work but? Because of the OEM
careless manufacturing or did not built the equipment as it should have
being done. And if my X customer BHTB Co. made the changes as I have tried
to have them to do so, the problem would have not existed. Please note that
since 1992 of Toronto protocol on clean air act Manufactures have made
considerable amount of changes on to their compressors, and some work better
with new gas and some not, apparently this particular one can not handle
older gasses (refrigerants) which it should not have being use to start
with.
Now considering all the facts and work I did, with copy of the letter from
Carlyle I went to my X costumer with my research and requested from them
payment for work I did.

And then I will return to do the job as suggested by Carlyle Compressor Mfg.
It is not my fault that they purchase piece of equipment that was not
manufacture properly.

Well guess what this people my X customer BHTB Co. have gone to original
freezer mfg. The Webber Mfg. Co. Which manufacture or built something that
could be held liable. "Endangering human life who cares" and suggested to
BHTB Co. to acquire another contractor and give them my research to repair
the freezer at my expense. So Webber Mfg. came out smell like roses, my X
customer did not have to pay me, every body happy and I got rusted shaft.
And best part is that this people do large amount of work for our Government
indirectly (Through Organizations listed below).

Response for payment was: it is you fault and we are not going to pay you
single dime.

Curtiss Wright, General Electric, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.

Hamilton Sundstrand, Honeywell Inc., Kaman Aerspace,

McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, Menasco Aerospace, Parker Aerospace,

Pratt Whitney, USA, Rohr Corp., Rolls-Royce, Allison,

Schweizer Aircraft, Sikorsky Aircraft, And some?

Most of these Organizations do work for USA Government directly or
indirectly

We have "themes" in this country small business is always taking care of HA,
Ha,

I bet you here this joke before. I have asked some of these companies for
they mailing address, guess what I am still waiting. So I could send them
information knowledge of how some of their scruples vendor is operating.

I hope that some one will read this document and let me know what he or she
thinks or lawyers who will not try skinned me since I have being skinned
"Once already" And yes I can support or supply all paper work on the subject
