* DEC OSF/1 2-UNLIMITED USER UPGRADE LICENSE *
* GRANDFATHERED TO ALL CSLG MEMBERS *

******************************************************************************

As of June 5, 1992 the DEC OSF/1 2-unlimited user upgrade license has been
added to the Campuswide Software License Grant (CSLG) Program portfolio. All
CSLG customers renewing their CSLG after June 5, 1992 will receive the right
to use the license as part of their CSLG portfolio. The product is not LMF
compliant, so there will be no license Product Authorization Key (PAK) needed
for the product. This means the CSLG TK50 that you receive with your renewal
will not have a license PAK for the DEC OSF/1 2-unlimited user upgrade license
on it. Your institution is responsible for purchasing the media for the
product, which will allow physical access to the product.

We are grandfathering the DEC OSF/1 2-unlimited user upgrade license to all
other institutions that have a valid CSLG contract in place and renewed prior
to June 5, 1992. Unlike other products that are grandfathered under the CSLG,
there will be no paper PAK shipped to your institution.

At renewal time we will make the necessary ammendment to the terms &
conditions section of your CSLG management plan and contract to incorporate
the addition of the DEC OSF/1 2-unlimited user upgrade license.

PLEASE NOTE - In order to use the DEC OSF/1 2-unlimited user upgrade license,
all customers must have purchased the initial operating system license. All
systems wishing to upgrade to 2-unlimited users must meet this requirement.

For information on obtaining the initial operating system license, please
contact your Digital Sales Rep.

Regards,
Betsy Carroll
