Two special sessions of the Social Studies forum will hold something of
interest for everyone the next couple of weeks. The forum is held at 8
p.m. Eastern (5 p.m. Pacific) on Wednesdays in TAPPED IN
(http://www.tappedin.org)
On March 28, we'll investigate teaching history through art and music.
We'll be sharing resources and lesson plans for incorporating music and
art in the study of history, and hope you'll join us with your ideas,
lessons, and questions.
On April 4, we'll be joined by Kelly Schrum who will demonstrate History
Matters with the group. History Matters, located at
http://historymatters.gmu.edu/, is a resource, including articles and
resources, primary documents, examples of student work, online lessons,
and other teacher and student aids.
As always, TAPPED IN help desk personnel will be available to assist new
users. It's also recommended that new users log in a few minutes early
to become accustomed to the easy-to-learn TAPPED IN interface.
Persons with questions or wanting more information are invited to e-mail
me offlist.
