Thank you so much for that informative piece. I also teach math and try to
incorporate as much tech as I can into instruction despite my district's
unwillingness to enter the 21st century (or even the 20th, it seems
sometimes).
I looked on eBay after reading your post and saw many c610 laptops for
under $100. Would you recommend purchasing some of that model and starting
my own wireless lab for my classroom? I teach GED level math to 17-21 year
olds and think laptops would be great for journal writing, etc. as my
students would be much more willing to type than write and review
exponents through a battleship game (saw it on GUIA, another of your recs
from your post...) than work from a text.
Thanks again for your post, gave me a lot to think about for the new year!
