For anyone who has used PicoCricket with your students, did you give them a
specific project or let them make whatever they want? If a specific project,
like creating an animal habitat or a room in a house, can you give me some
details? We're trying to come up with a project for our 6th graders--they
will work in groups and the art teacher is on board to make art a part of
it.

It's a tiny computer that can be programmed by kids. The kit comes with legos
that they can use to make objects that are then connected to the picocricket to
do a variety of things like light up, spin, or make music. See it here:
