You wrote this in 2001. It's Sept. 12, 2013. Just went to a workshop of his. He is brilliant...amazingly intelligent. I'm sure you know that by now.

This is likely too late, but here goes----
I have taken several CEU classes with Katz presenting. A very unique, extremely qualified individual. He is now involved heavily in medical research. He lectures regularly for INR, a provider of medical CEU classes. We (a CMT and an LCPC) now wait for ONLY his classes, and INR has some great deals on a per/CEU hour basis. He is not afraid to call a spade a spade, or to take the Feds to task for their ineffective policies. He has a sarcastic, sardonic wit that might take some people some getting used to. But, his unique humor helps keep you awake on the typically boring details. Just put your syllabus aside and take notes of what he says. And, he allows you to just shoot photos of the slides he puts up on the screen. Good luck.

I just went to a continuing ed class by Dr Katz and it was the most informative class I have ever been too. He is extremely intelligent and is very clever on how he delivers his presentation- This is many many years after your post but I was looking for more classes available by him and saw this question posted ;)

Today I attended a workshop he gave on Cognition, Diet and Longevity offered by the Institute for Human Resources in Edison, N.J. This may have been the best workshop I have attended in my life. Dr. Katz has an encyclopedic knowledge of this topic, and he is a skilled, animated, funny and engaging teacher. The man is clearly brilliant. I will be singing his praises to my friends and colleagues, and I look forward to seeing him present on additional health-related topics again.

Love this lecturer. I have been to at least 6 full day CE's on varied topics and he is always informative, knowledgeable, entertaining. He stands for good & ethical medicine over profit, which makes him a rare individual (let alone MD) indeed. I would go to any lecture he gives.

Katz is outstanding lecturer with great wit and encyclopedic knowledge of metabolic pathways, alternative medicine, drugs and their interactions. He brings alive what otherwise would be pedantic.

Based on the testimonials I have read, I am considering going to one of Dr. Katz's lectures soon. Would the information that he is lecturing be useful to a student audience only?

I just finished Dr. Katz's course on opioids and marijuana. I, too found him very thorough and knowledgeable on the topics. However, he exhibits a sort of intellectual superiority and a bit of sarcastic disdain for his audience that is extremely annoying and distracting. I wish he would curtail his impatience when the audience is not immediately responsive to his questions, most of which seem rhetorical anyway.
