1999 DorothyL Pins Design Contest

The pin selection process for 1999 will be a bit different than in the
past. Because there are only eight designs submitted, there will be just
one ballot. With such a small number of submissions, it didn't seem
worth the effort to have a preliminary ballot to reduce the number of
designs down to five. Vote for your favorite design by sending email
to me (p...@pharlap.com). The election will end on May 31.
Because there were fewer designs than in the past, I wonder if people
are losing interest in the annual pins. When you vote, can you please
answer the following question: Should there be a design contest and a
new DorothyL pin every year?
I'll start taking orders after June 1. I plan to place the order with
the pin company around July 1. After doing this for four years, I'll be
able to extrapolate the orders received in June to know how many total
pins to order. And you should have your pins before Bouchercon '99.
