I just realized why Polly's use of the term "snark" to describe one of Noah's
recent flames had so much resonance. In addition to being a combination of "sn
arl" and "bark," it actually has the word "ark" within it, which makes it
absolutely the most appropriate word (le mot juste?) to describe someone
named Noah (whose recent Mystery History, incidentally, was a true tour de
farce). Congratulations, Polly! I better stop here because I can see that my
writing is becoming infected by my three years of high school French or my
penchant for tongue kissing.
